Later, you can just claim they did it on their own free will. Since most people can't relate to the sort of mindset that would make one behave in such a "pathetic" way, they tend to get most of the blame themselves. The thing with pretending to love someone for the sake of favors is something that's most often very easy to deny. No one has ever been forced to do anything. Especially not online.
