Think about it hard and a lot since it is a lifestyle that could potentially bare great consequences on your future. If you think you'd do good in an environment like that, and if you think you'd enjoy the type of work then by God do it. Just don't throw three years of good and hard work away to be a construction worker. It is a good calling, don't take me wrong. But you can really get something more fulfilling since as anon said, degrees are just "I'm a big brain boy" certificates really.
