Christ Jesus is God in the flesh. He had to come down to this world to show us humans how we can have eternal life after death. That is if we truly turn from our sinful ways and follow Him. Truly repent and truly follow Him. We live in a fallen world that is ruled by satan. But this world is temporary. There is life after death which is eternal and Christ Jesus showed us the way. He took away our sins on the cross and defeated death, rising from the grave 3 days later. Sin no longer holds us to damnation unless you truly don't follow Christ and believe what He did on the cross for us.
