The impossibility to undo our actions and other natural influences with the fact that we are situated in a society constrains our range of possibilities.
As for whether there is a god, no one can tell since it would lie beyond nature. All that I can tell for sure is that if it exists it either doesn't give a damn or it is unable to influence or foresee our decisions.
I chose to assume a skeptical position and believe there is none, after all it won't make a difference.
