>>15295837You're already on the right track by starting with prayer.
Most people get it backwards & try start with scripture.
The place to start is prayer, particularly the Rosary.
The Rosary is both verbal prayer & meditation (Catholic meditation is the opposite of eastern meditation which is disassociative, Catholic meditation is contemplative, you're not emptying or blanking your mind).
In the Rosary you recite prayers with the lips while meditating on the mysteries of Christ's life with the mind.
picrel is example of a decade.
link below is everything need (don't worry, it's tricky at first & takes several weeks before start to get the meditations down properly, if feel like you're crap at it, just stick with it, everyone is crap at the start, meditation is not something do often so takes a bit of practice)
https://rosarycenter.org/how-to-pray-the-rosaryStick with prayer to begin with, this is your personal experience with Christ from which everything else will spring.
Eventually you'll want to partake in the sacraments, this will mean going to confession, link provided will help you with examination of conscious
https://www.stpatrickcatholicparish.org/confession-guide-for-adults there's tons of material online available to walk you through the process (honestly you just go into the priest & be straight up, this is the first confession of your adult life & don't know what to do, he'll lead you) .
But yeah man, honestly, prayer is where you start & everything clicks into place after that.
