In the scriptures, Jesus performed His first miracle and came out as the Son of God when He turned water into wine at tge wedding. Why did He do this after saying "No, my time is not yet at hand." What caused GOD HIMSELF to alter his plan and change his schedule? A request from his mother.
Jesus has said that because His mother denied Him nothing here on Earth, He would deny her nothing in heaven.
The Church teaches that the reason God was so strict, and wrathful in the Old Testament, but so much more lenient now is because of the intercession of His mother.
