This now makes sense of why Satan stands in "opposition to God" at every turn: that's what a conscience does.
It also raises a terrifying possibility of a psychopathic God, though. But, yeah, Lucifer couldn't have embodied Pride as he was an angel, they are not capable of Free Will as God hadn't invented it yet.
