You don't "love" your family, you hate the mere thought of their loss to the point you can't bare the thoughts required to say "I hope you don't get raped and eaten by cannibals over the course of hours in a slow agonizing death today honey" - you hate that concept so much your mind lumps it and all others like it into the antithesis of hate, which you call "love."
ALL "love" is conditional, the conditions are just different for family vs romantic involvements vs friends.
Plenty of people have parents they don't "love," plenty of people (sick in the head, admittedly) have their own biological kids they don't "love." Everyone sets the bar at different levels for different people.
Generally with non-family members people hate the thought of not possessing them, possessing them brings them joy and happiness and the thought that the person in their possession seems to feel the same seems to be significant to them. Lack that possession and the "love" disappears pretty quickly.
For family members the bar is typically in the realm of trauma (or for christcucks and their ilk, for breaking some moral code they were indoctrinated with.)
"Love" doesn't exist, and people who experience it have mental issues.
