>>12152412yeah, they're rough. intro to music for me was especially upsetting because i competed at the state level for concert band 3/4 years in high school, but somehow i still won't be a """well rounded scholar""" unless someone tells me to go listen to some classical music or explains what a musical staff is. it's all absolute nonsense. in my experience a lot of professors that teach gen eds piss their pants about it too and make their classes unnecessarily difficult because they're mad nobody gives a shit about whatever they're teaching
i never had aspirations like that personally. going to a nice school has its perks i'm sure but it largely doesn't seem worth the extra effort maintaining such good grades and paying massive tuitions for those sorts of things.
