μ’s was associated with a strong image of “flying through the sky”. But to fall from the heavens, to jump into a pool, to dive into the sea, to listen to the sound of the sea, before disappearing into the waves; Aqours’ image appears to be primarily a “downwards movement”. Unlike μ’s, Aqours is a group that is “close to the ground”, and this notion of “flying into the air” and their “upwards movement” gives it a very deep meaning
Normally, people would either think “I’ll do this because it is possible” or “I’ll give up since this isn’t possible”. But this show wants to bring out the idea of “This is impossible! Even so, we’ll definitely do it!”. It’s such a stupid yet cool idea.
No matter how I think about it, it’s really clever. Up till now, it’s been “So long as we work hard, a miracle will definitely happen”, and waiting for a feather to fall from the sky. But from here on, they’re taking flight with the paper plane as a symbol of their shine, working towards a miracle that isn’t guaranteed.
Unlike a feather, if you don’t fold and throw a paper plane by yourself, it’ll definitely stay “an unattainable miracle”, which fits the current situation perfectly. Nothing will ever happen by just waiting, and leaving everything to someone else.
