Imagine if you wrote a poetry masterpiece or a book that could go on to be extremely culturally important. And, instead of publishing it, you burned it. Just returned it to entropy. From the perspective of the natural universe, that literary work never existed at all. It had zero impact on the adjacent spacetime.
That's the path most childless men choose. Meaningless nothing. Entropy.
