The 538A allele was hypothesized to be associated with with body odor production, but the exact same study concluded that there was no discernable phenotypic difference between carriers of the G and A alleles. The reason some people claim you "can't find deodorant in Asia" is because Japan, Korea, and China are retarded enough to consider sweating to be a medical condition for which they offer surgery. The reason OP posted a screenshot with coombait instead of the full study is because it also contains a chart showing that within the sampled population, the G/G or G/A alleles reportedly had the same rate of "axillary osmidrosis" (as sweating is falsely labeled in East Asia) as A/A. The authors of the study concluded that the myth of Asian people not sweating came from the drastically increased rate of sweat gland removal surgeries due to a culture of osmophobia.
