Fly fishing and skiing
I’m lucky enough to live in Michigan so opportunities are abundant. It’s epic here. You can just drive up north and pitch a tent on state or federal land with zero regulation or hassle. It’s truly heaven and makes every weekend amazing for the sportsman.
Pic is of the AuSable river last weekend. It’s known worldwide the “Holy Waters” for fly fishermen and was the first river in North America to have brown trout. It’s unbelievable with crystal clear, ice cold springs all over the place. Every corner, pool and structure are holding the most beautiful fish you will ever see.
Also, Fred Bear’s ashes were sprinkled into that river. If you don’t know about Fred Bear and the spirit of the wild, you are less of a man.
