the open nature of this forum allows for quick conversations and spread of ideas. Lots of in jokes come from that and it creates a sense of community. People also have to choose to post on a forum that isn’t heavily curated and moderated so that too attracts a free spirit

Little if any. Although I would miss the free exchange of ideas allowed by the internet. The internet is a reflection of society. We can’t blame peoples views on the internet. The computers and bots are just tools. Inanimate. We the humans are the bad influences here. And that occurs in real life as well as cyber space
