Actual master craftsman careers are disappearing, but it's still possible to find a lifetime of getting paid enough to do what you love. If that's not possible or you don't know what you love, I think it's best to find something you enjoy enough for employment, but try to find somewhere with good coworkers you can get along with. Bad coworkers can ruin a good job, but good coworkers, can make an okay job seem great. In your spare time, find something you enjoy and get good at it. Realize you won't ever be the best because if you were, you'd probably get paid for it, but as long as you're having fun that's what matters.
