>>14180920well it's a bit anticlimactic compared to the high action in some other parts, but it's still very good i think.
the dumb brat is making a difficult decision to finally become independent while rudeus once again has to confront his mental problems which is supposed to be the main point of the whole show anyway. it's good to have the review that everyone thinks he's so cool and good contrasting with him wallowing in self pity because he's a broken individual. also very well done that he doesn't break through the situation by the power of friendship teaching him that he's not a ugly stupid garbage person but rather nobody even thinks to comfort him and he decides that despite being such a dumb stupid garbage person that he must carry his despair with him as he completes his duty of finding his mum since there's not anybody else who cares to do it.
as usual for mush the general concept is pretty standard but the execution of the details is masterfully done in such a way that it all feels very reasonable and powerful rather than being some tropey asspull where he gets separated from all his friends and gets scared that he'll be useless without them but summons great resolve out of nowhere when he imagines that he could reunite with them
