>>13233451Christ created the Catholic Church in the Gospels. Saint Peter was the rock upon which the Catholic Church was built. The Protestants have since been Prodigal Sons who have sought to build houses of worship on misinterpretations as numerous as the world's grains of sand. While no institution on earth is infallible, the Catholic Church is the only Church with a right to exist.
There is no valid reason to dismiss the bible's lengthy and numerous descriptions of sins and virtues, which would all be in vain if works weren't of worth.
One may imagine being born a paraplegic incapable of sensory perception. If such a person believed, they would be saved. This would be a reason for the primacy of faith.
However, in the case of able bodied persons, only God can make something from nothing using solely his word. It is foolish and lazy to think that one could obtain salvation despite committing various mortal sins using only empty professions of faith.
Just as no magnetic monopole has ever been observed, good faith and good works go hand in hand. Luther understood this much in his description of fire and light.
Causes bear effects.
Reactants bear products.
Genotype bears phenotype.
God spiritually manifested as Christ.
The bible contains various contradictions, but good works in conjunction with faith are not irrefutably rejected. Saint Paul does not logically exclude works, only works alone. (...[alone], lest any man...)

James, who heard everything Jesus said that was and was not written down in the Gospels, explicitly refers to both good works and faith as necessary for salvation.
