>What's the meaning of life?We can't know for sure.
Even though we are part of the most intelligent species on the planet, our perception of the world is extremely limited. Cats and dogs can hear sounds we will never be able to hear for example. A good way to realize how imperfect and tied to our physicality our perception of the world is to take psilocybin mushrooms (they are sadly illegal in Japan nowadays though).
The imperfection of our perception, what Kant called "phenomenon" in contrast to the "noumenon", the true state of things, very probably prevents us to answer to this question with certainty.
As far as I'm concerned, I believe God is an amoral being. The premise of Abrahamic religions stating that God cares about us is obviously untrue if you look at what humans have endured throughout history. Why would a caring God would have created the Black Plague or the Minamata disease ?
There is also probably no heaven and hell, as consciousness is, in all likelihood, only the byproduct of electro-chemical signals happening in our brains as you read this.
The only thing you can do is create a meaning of life by yourself, for yourself, like Camus advised us to do.
You have this chance to look at the universe and act upon it before your inevitable death. Choose wisely what to do with it.
Yes, the universe is a strange place.
