>>4400715Thousands of years ago, before the first civilizations rose from what would one day be known as Finland, it was a time of savagery, and violence. The fishe was too big to give to the Cirno, which did not exist yet for this was before the age of man, and instead, there were dinosaurs, but not as we knew them. Among these beasts was the mightiest of creatures, the Cyrn, a monster powered by hatred and a hunger for death. It was the strongest sure, but it could not tug at the hearts and minds like a fairy would. And so it ruled through fear rather than love, and every time the primitive predecessors of man attempted to build anything more sophisticated than a rock, it would come and destroy them. This cycle continued for so long that nobody really knew when it began and stopped, for recorded history did not begin. The protocirno only ended ceased its merciless onslaught when the last ice age ended, and with it, the power needed to sustain itself. Even though it is no more, its mark on history can be seen to this day as mankind has suffered a noticeable lag in progress due to its continued marauding in the distant past.
If it weren't for the Cyrn, who knows where we would be now. Perhaps colonizing the moon, or mining stars. History is full of key events and tragedies such as this, sad chapters in the story of the world that are best left forgotten.
