>>19875039They used to use those things back when gold sovereigns were still used as money. Of course a sovereign was a weeks wages so it was worthwhile using a holder that was chained to you. Modern coins on the other hand are just worthless nickel or copper-plated steel slugs now. If you lose one, who cares? Almost none of them are worth picking up off the ground. The money is worthless and a lot of you youngsters will live to see billion dollar/euro/pound plastic money that only buys a loaf of bread.
Tell me. why shouldn't they just make the coins out of plastic these days?
