Regarding the true depths of reality consider the laws of nature and therefore phenomena based gods coming into being in the material world as shadows of the eternal concept.
Consider that the laws of nature would apply in every universe, dimension and material world that has life. Also consider that the laws can manifest to produce living beings. We are only seeing the results and estimating the laws.
As such the biological laws of nature "could" be seen as minor gods that together make up Eostre:
Continuation = Pride = Apollo
Propagation = Lust = Aphrodite
Competition = Wrath = Ares/Athena
Sophistication = Vanity =Hephaestus
Consolidation = Sloth = Cronus
Divergence = Envy = Hera
Cancer = Gluttony =Dionysus
Parasitism = Greed =Typhon
The laws of nature are present in all life at all levels of life from the simplest to the most complex. As such these laws would manifest through living beings to bring physical manifestations. Such as entire ethnic groups that act like parasites. People who are so selfish and destructive that they embody living cancer. Animals that are extremely specialised and therefore sophisticated. Females that embody the concept of propagation. People or animals that embody the concept of competition, either through brute strength like the tiger(Ares) or through cooperation like a wolf pack(Athena).
All of these concepts are difficult if not impossible for the normie to grasp. Therefore the priesthood provides metaphors and representations to explain these concepts to the masses. People make the mistake of assuming that the outer religion for the masses is the same as the inner religion of the priesthood.
