>>11324351Hate to break it to you bud but that’s what’s perfectly wrong with society nowadays. We commoditize basic human needs like emotional interaction and support. Was binge watching youtube just today and saw a “documentary” of sorts why people go simping on OnlyFans. It’s because they are so lonely and so socially distraught that they have to pay women online to chat with them and gain access to their pictures like a girlfriend/wife would give you access to their body.
What you’re describing is a social disease and can never be cured by commoditizing relationships like someone dropping a couple of dollar bills in a vending machine to get rid of his hunger. Society has come so low that people are willing to pay just to be able to interact what is supposedly we take for granted – genuine human interaction. I’ve had some discussion with someone regarding this. We may have all this technology and material prosperity but it’s all a facade. We moved forward with all this wealth but society took a step back in terms of ethics, morality, self-regulation and just being human.
I think Ted Kazcynski is kinda vindicated here. We are feeding the "tech and prosperity" machine and the machine will bleed us to death.
