There was no blood shed here in the conversion to Christianity and there was a golden age after. St Patrick wasn't even the first Christian missionary here too and there was already some Christians here for about a 100 years beforehand but Patrick had the most success in his missionary work. A lot of sacred pagan sites and practices became interwoven with Christianity and Paganism wasn't wiped out.
