>>20148993>i personally experienced very little of the "good old internet" as some would put it but what i did experience was truly magicalI certainly didn't experience everything either; after all, much of what I'm interested in extends to before Eternal September began. I fully understand where you're coming from here lad, there's certainly something... magical, I guess, about people just making & posting whatever they'd like. To that end, what some consider the "forced" parts of r/banter's culture is sort of reminiscent of that time, though I get that some people look at it and think it's just a bunch of newfags LARPing. Still, it's a strangely unique board to this day.
>i assume they are not the ones running the internet archive?Correct.
Archive.org is run by a nonprofit entity. Archive Team itself is a very loose collective of internet archivists and the like. Members of it run things like the b archive and archived.moe. They do some good work.
>oh well that's alrightI've cleaned up my bant-tan folder of any most repeat images. There may still be a straggler or two in there. Take it. It's not quite as comprehensive as I'd like, but maybe there's a thing or two in there that anons here will enjoy.
