>>12788400Well I wasn't a complete stranger to her since we attended the same seminars... I just never talked to her before. I went home a year ago, when the pandemic started.
>I often think people like that - people like me - aren't meant to live because in a way that goes against our sense of self-preservation.Come now, you already do plenty that goes against what would be considered natural. If you don't feel guilty about those why would you about this particular thing?
I thought I did answer, but which other kind? Those who end up liking it? I don't look down on them, but I do pity them, like I do you. But pity is very far from hate or contempt.
>For one I wouldn't care to have a period. That would be the least of your worries. Like I said, I think many still look down on women in their hearts. So an intelligent and competent sort of woman still has to struggle a lot to demonstrate that she is indeed equal to a man, and not just because it's fashionable to say so nowadays. Which is sad because these ones truly deserve respect.
>I assume they are in some sense if she hasn't looked for another partner already. They aren't, and I don't know, she just never seemed to care about this sort of stuff. In fact, I think she outright dislikes the idea. And I have to admit, it does flatter me. But that won't make her happy forever. You can't live off other people's happiness for long, you have to have your own as well.
>We're the way we are today because of our history of this and to get rid of it would be to get rid of who we are.Alright, but why do you think the way we are today is good? People are at each other's throats nowadays, sure we don't have wars with other nations, but we do have wars with our own. And how do you determine whose truth is the real deal? As far as I am concerned there is no such thing. Why would you be more right than I, and why would I be more right than you? Can this conflict be solved in such a way that the outcome makes all of us happy?
