I have a theory that elites aren't content just to have better versions of the same things that commoners have: vehicles, air travel, electricity, running water, houses etc.
Elites naturally want to FEEL their domination and superiority by having things that commoners don't have at all. Hence our elites, tired of having a rival middle class that has access to lesser versions of the same luxuries, want to get rid of our amenities and our middle class and to pauperize us.
No more modernity for the common people -- no more reliable electricity, running water, vehicles, air travel, houses. Just intermittent electricity, running water, buses, no air travel, and apartment rentals instead.
In this way, that deep psychoanalytic desire of elites to FEEL their superior can be satisfied.
Neofeudalism is the real goal of the elitist green movement.
