>>5795885If you look at the animal world much of what you see is geared towards survival and ultimately procreation, as it is still the chosen method of continued existence of life I argue it must be seen as the over all fundamental goal. But really you can also look at our own society and you will see more clues of the same occurence, won't you? Is it then far-fetched to believe the brain, and our conciousness is just a part of that, it's a control you might say, of a very complex life form i.e it is required for this purpose, for it's continued function, survival and ultimately procreation. Then can we be sure our control or our perspective we have of our own self or the world is in our own hands, or is it merely just a construct for the continuation of life. I'm not arguing that there is some sort of ultimate conciousness in this all, that this is in itself knowing since I believe this reflection that we are able to do is not required for it, it's not vital for control or drive.
