I lost one of my tall giant friends, too. It was a few months ago. A neighbor kept complaining about it (he's a vietnam veteran; I've observed him removing any green life in the neighborhood; I'm convinced it's a form of PTSD). Until the landlord finally gave in and ordered it to be cut down. I miss that tree.
