what's wrong with linguistics?
well i imagine that they'll touch on some of those things briefly especially in like 1 and 2 since they can be integral parts of understanding certain aspects of the language but given that there are specific upper division classes for history, culture, and literature i'd imagine that jap 1-8 focus primarily on grammar and vocabulary
