>>8858160Take in the entirety of what the Bible is saying and not one verse. Alot of false doctrines are made that way, where they single out one verse and say that's how it is. There are many scriptures that suggest some effort on our part e.g "he who overcomes will receive the crown of life", "a tree who bears not fruit is pulled down and burned".
Now works don't mean you have to go out and become a pastor of some mega church to be saved. Works can be simple things, like resisting temptation, throwing out demonic things if you know they're demonic. Being kind to people in speech and language...people are going to see that and notice a change. The more God transforms your heart you'll become a new person that others can see and will recognize God's spirit shining through you.
