>>19721943I think it's more interesting to ask why it is that we eat, and why everything consumes something in order to survive. Even if you want to break it down between those who eat other creatures and those who only eat plants, even the plants are consuming chemicals, sunlight, and other organisms.
Eating is no doubt a universal shared trait among all living things that we know of, but why did all things develop this way, and why have we taken it to such extremes? We are so far from nature that we not dare eat any meat untouched by fire, and prefer processed treats and prepackaged meats, I think somthing about this has been taken advantage of to manipulate the health, and even the thinking patterns of the masses.
Why must i consume? Why can i not just be? Not that i like or dislike the idea of contributing to the end of life for my nourishment, but why does this cycle exist in general? What created the difference between vegetative live and animalistic life? Why eat?
