Are people not familiar why responce from the rest of the Europe was so big?
Post-WW2 Europe was peaceful continent. Only large conflic that happen was Yugoslav wars. Russian Federation behave like it's 19th century, and we are still in the age of Napoleon, with empirees attacking small countries, conquering their territory and committing ethnical cleansings on local population. There's literally millions of Ukrainian refugees in Europe. They cost money. Cutting off from Russian gas costs money. We have greatest refugee crisis in many, many years, bigger than the one in 2015 because of Russia.
>but why not give Putin Crimea and Donbass and let Ukrainians fight for themselves without our help
Have you got to the XX century history in Europe in your history class? That sentence brings flashbacks of Munich conference to every thinking Western politician.
