i got my mom to finally sell down most of her qbts shares today. she wasn't going to but the second it stopped going up she basically lost all enthusiasm for it. so she did miss the top but not by much. anyways i tried to explain to her that it wasn't that i didn't want her gambling, it's that i didn't want her gambling on THAT stock. i shilled her beyond meat (BYND) and she wrinkled up her face and said "beyond meat isn't sexy. they used to be but they lost it." i ended up basically begging her to buy some (which made things worse) and she finally did but less than 100 shares, which is uncharacteristic of her, she's always complaining how she hates "small bets" and really dislikes how many tickers are in her portfolio, complains all the time.
