Your perception of "suits look better on older people" exists because only older people wear suits... but that's not because they're old, it's because they're from an older generation. Those same old people have been wearing suits since they were your age.
We notice that which is common, it appears normal to us. But something that is abnormal appears to be incorrect and out of place.. but with a more careful eye, you will see that there is nothing wrong with it at all
If you follow the advice of "wait till you're 30 to wear a suit" You will soon find that by the time you are 30, the advice will have changed to "wait till you're 40" and then when you are 40 it will be "wait till you're 50" and so on
