I'll speculate that while LLM will never live up to the hype, locally-run weak AI (recommendation system, image recognition etc) is ubiquitous and making a power-efficient chip to run small AI models on a phone is extremely profitable.
>>20498987PCs running ARM chips kinda defeats the purpose of ARM, but I can see RISC-V CPUs replacing x86 and x64 in a distant future (it's being used in nVidia chips already). That said, the smartphone/laptop market is way bigger and you cannot reprogram people into not using their phones anymore. Not the best outcome but might as well profit from it.
