My best recommendation is to head to your local pool/billiards hall. Man, believe me, there are people there who would be happy to shoot a game with you just for fun. The best atmosphere and opportunity for adults to make friends is through a shared common activity. Pool is great for all demographics. I'm in my twenties, and have made good acquaintances with dart throwing boomers. You'd be surprised how social even a smaller pool place can be. A fantastic place to go, even if you're lonely. Feels so good to sink a pool ball, and it's relatively cost effective entertainment. My hall has coin-ops, a game for 2 bucks! Brother, just go and play some pool, meet a few people. Get in good with the bartenders. I shit you not, a few nights of general politeness, pleases and thank yous, and bartenders will LITERALLY love you. One bartender rips off the coin op mech for us to play for free. He usually sees us off with a free shot of cheap house whiskey at the end of the night. Another bartender, hot lady, well I give her weed joints as tips. Oohoo well she likes that , and gave me a "Sicillian Kiss" the other night. Tasted like cherry :) ahah!! Anyway OP, wishing you well. Play some pool and meet some folks :)
