>>16031508So, the way of thinking people have that actually talking about things in this place is somehow bad to do combined with how unrewarding it feels because of just how fast things move and you get left behind in the flood, it's no surprise that what you're looking for isn't really around. It's definitely not the spirit imageboards are supposed to have. This place is just a moshpit, more than anything.
Anyhow, even if it really were the original vision of imageboards to have it be the way that this site is, it's not like that would make it good all of a sudden. Therefore I think it doesn't really matter. Always seek what's better and an improvement, don't get caught up in things like "how it was originally supposed to be".
My personal reasons for typing out a whole lot despite it disappearing soon enough don't really matter, so, I guess it's good to leave it at that.
>>16031606>Honestly, that makes it sound even more alluringThe disadvantages of a tight-knit community like that is stuff like drama happening, in which case it encapsulates the whole board and potentially leading to it's death. But it could also be the very fun of it. The place I was talking about suffers from a lot of flaws, but at the end of the day, yeah, I'd agree that it's infinitely more interesting to be around.
Plus, there's the cool kids club factor. Which I believe is a real thing, it makes you have more fun being around places of that sort. And it's pretty normal.
Like how I said before, the brain turns caution into curiosity while on the internet, because it's just not the same level of reality. It's all above life and seemingly cool to be a part of.
In the internet, you might very comfortably hang out around a board with a community of people who you would run away from as fast as you could if it were real life. And I think that simply makes for more interesting interactions, I mean, it's all just online anyhow. The more obscure and flavory place is always the cool kids club.
