Currently the overlords are taking messages from what you perceive as the future. They are attempting to stabilize the madness. What they don't realize is the madness will destabilize them and they will be banished to the worst timelines where they belong. This does not give you the option for complacency as everyone in current timeline/dimension needs to continue to fight until every demon is banished back into there own hellish realities / timelines / universes.
