I feel very close to God when I'm in the woods. Nobody else, just me in an empty forest. All you hear is leaves and acorns falling, squirrels and chipmunks foraging, and the wind.
I recommend everyone go for a walk in the woods soon. Deep into the woods where you are completely alone. It's the perfect place to pray and contemplate.
