But it brings me to Galaxy Express. For some reason, it is very reminiscent of this anime to me, both animes Little Nemo and Galaxy express seem to almost remind me of one another, and it was recently at that moment, I sort of felt as if both of these seperate identities I developed due to the amnesia and dissociation I got from being abandoned because it was so painful my mind probably couldn't handle it and I got confused at some point, truth be told I almost didn't know who my real family was.
It's rare for me to have these two sides intercept like that, but little nemo and Galaxy express seems to almost do that for me, and in my mind they almost represent the two different sides of the lives and places I found myself in.
For example Galaxy Express for some reason reminds me of finding myself in the cool country air late at night, I'll never forget that, with how bright the stars were in the sky in the country. The series really captured abandonment more then anything. It kind of has shades of a space age futuristic Huckleberry Finn.
All I wanted to do growing up was run away, it sort or helped me deal with those feelings. It helped me somehow look at growing up in the country in a different way, almost helped me gain a different perspective altogether.
I'm not sure what the style of Galaxy Express is, but I would like to know. Unfortunately I think it might be a part of that "cult" a bit or something, I'm not really sure.
