>>14947770Exactly. Silver is totally worthless as is (besides being a required component of all modern electronics, medical tools, industrial machinery, etc). Look at it logically:
>Scenario 1: you want some flour but the only guy with flour needs salt, and you only have some beans. You can't just shoot him and take his stuff because everyone has guns. You spend all day trading your beans for corn for lumber for batteries for sugar for diesel and by the time you get some salt he's already traded and gone home. You wasted the entire day and still don't have what you want.>Scenario 2: people aren't retarded, so they adopt a standard currency, like people do every time a fiat economy collapses. You trade some silver for flour and have the rest of the day to yourself.Clearly scenario 1 is the only realistic outcome. Keep in mind that if the Federal Reserve system crashes, man will begin to feed on man, the fields will salt themselves, the rains will cease to fall, the oceans will turn to deserts, and the tree will bear no fruit. It will be a wasteland of Mad Max cannibal raiders and no one will ever cooperate or organize themselves into communities ever again.
Metalchuds will starve because they could only stack precious metals and therefore could not stack any guns, food, land, or like-minded community members.
Meanwhile, everyone will choose to participate in an inefficient barter system, rather than adopting silver as a standard currency like every other time in history when a fiat currency collapsed.
It's just common sense.
