It's worth noting that while there may be minor conflicts between white and brown elves, the blue elves tend to consider themselves superior to both, and are often not shy about expressing a contempt for them. They are also generally more aggressive, and in the wild, more likely to actively resist human subjugation than the other two. Needless to say, these traits can translate to difficulties when domesticated.
We need to make it clear to them that whatever social advantage they had over their fellow elves is now meaningless. This may require us to establish their social status as below the other two. Their wild cousins will need to be dealt with harshly as an example. When a blue elven habitat is discovered, conquest will have to be swift. Once the bulk of the population has been subjugated and removed, or destroyed, the cavern should be then flooded with poison gas; or more preferably, if possible, flooded. This will make a clear statement not only that we will not tolerate elven resistance, but that the old ways are truly over for them.
There is the ear length issue, but this is more subtle. It seems not to be such a major genetic difference, with both shorter and longer eared varieties living in the same communities. This could be considered similar to hair or eye color differences. However, there is a trend for shorter eared elves to to be viewed positively, or for this to be a desirable trait. This is likely because of their stronger superficial resemblance to humans. The distinction must be downplayed, making it clear that similarity or not, they are no closer to their human masters because of it.
