>>12966954It's interesting how places with enormous populations exist that have never produced anything that anyone else cares about for their entire existence, while a selection of some European country consisting of a few 100,000 people can establish a cultural output that dominates intellectual culture for centuries in a fairly short period of time. Like, it's amazing how much this matters that population volume basically doesn't remotely make up for anything.
