I heard she actually survived initially, but was hospitalized and suffered for about 2 weeks before ultimately dying. I had a hard time reconciling that with the sentiment that god works all things together for good / his glory. Since then, I guess the pathways in my brain got rerouted and most of these awful videos don't typically affect me on a deep emotional level, but I still avoid the cartel videos and don't usually go out of my way to view gore.
