And that figure is Jesus Christ, the son of God, who came to earth to teach us moral reasoning through parables, with the two principles upon which the average human mindset rests.

It is thus that humans came to understand morals through contact with the Divine.
All atheist criticism of Christianity can be reduced to the accusation of hypocrisy - that Christians do not act according to their own principles. This accepts as a given that Christian principles are the correct ones even for non-Christians.
