>So they do things without even stopping to consider what they are doing and where it may lead?Hasn't that always been the case? For better or worse, most people aren't thinking about the future. They're just trying to survive, and if something will give them an advantage in that, then of course they'll take it. In the end people and progress are unstoppable. Either the world will collapse under our weight or it will keep progressing further and further
>a certain thingShut up you edgy teen
>Being hairy and ape-like was not seen as a desireable trait for a civilised man in the pastAmong the upper classes, maybe. But many men, perhaps most, would still have been apes, and in fact those traits would be more desirable for someone working in manual labor. These things are still true today. Maybe the only difference is that people are fatter now on average
>So the board was pointless after allIf you see /vp/ as pointless too, I guess. I took a look at /jp/ just now and it seems like most of what remains are the generals, which have become slower from the split. The threads about individuals and such are now on /vt/, so the biggest result is the discussion is more spread out than ever. The threads on /jp/ may become more Japanese oriented now too since the posters who want speed will go to the ones on /vt/. I saw a thread about based chuubas yesterday too, see pic
