the star of david contains the duality (as above, so below) in that it is an arrow pointing up and down. each of those two parts individually represents the trinity in that it is a triangle.
it also represents the six in that it has six points. but the six points plus the center point make the seven which is why the jew lights the menorah. the hermetic work involves going through a spiralling process through the chakras. ultimately it's about mind, body and spirit becoming one.
