uhh. Well sometimes it could be a lot, and sometimes it could be pretty much not at all.
I am more inclined to express remorse than gratitude though. It's easy to repent for your wrongdoing, since it's obvious, and repentance is the right thing to do.
Gratitude on the other hand, we sometimes take for granted that others know how much we appreciate them and what they've done, so it's easy to say less than you should.
