Western women are so devoid of natural femininity that they essentially dont know how to be "girlish" in the traditional sense.
Much like how women dont know how to be "traditional" and seem to think it involves putting on blue dresses and making food. Theyre larping something they dont even know, their mothers and grandmothers barely even know.
Voice acting is very similar in that japanese women still have a culture of real femininity. Not fake girlishness (Barbie) but real womanhood which is inherited by example of previous generations by other women, and an appreciation of what makes women actually special.
Western women have no concept of this, their girlishness leaves them before theyre even aware that they had such a thing, so when it comes to to act the part, they pretend, and they imitate... But the imitation has no context.
They mimic the japanese but they view the japanese performance as unreal, as a joke, girlishness is a meme, a tongue and cheek thing that nobody actually believes exists right? its all just squeeky voices and nothing more... or is it?
