If you want something different, check out "Pin" (1988).
It's about a young man who becomes obsessed with an anatomical dummy owned by his doctor father. The father would use ventriloquism to make it seem as if "Pin" (the dummy) were speaking to his kids, but as they grew older, the boy kept returning to Pin to ask it for guidance. It's one of those psychological horror films where you watch the main character descend into madness and the whole thing is a big "WTF?!" type of film.
